A low power heater for the LaB₆ rod cathode

A low power LaB6 rod cathode assembly has been designed and tested. Initial results have shown that a reduction of input power from 60 to 11 W can be achieved. The low power assembly has been operated in a sealed-off device without any adverse effects in the operation of the cathode. © 1972 The American Institute of Physics.
