Performing a user-centered design tasks is a straightforward requirement for the success of any project. To address the challenge, a new human factors/ergonomics annual meeting is proposed at the 50th Annual Meeting in October 2006. A participatory panel entitled "You Have Five Minutes to Convince Me" is performed. The audience had the chance to participate in a role-playing exercise where they will try to convince a naysayer about one's skills that can be used to improve the outcome of the project. The outcome suggests that there is still a need to devote more time in evaluating the skills needed for delivering an effective argument.
