A combination of 'living' polymerization techniques and traditional dendrimer synthesis was used to prepare macromolecules with very complex molecular architectures. The resulting macro-molecules were all semi-crystalline. In general, the versatility of this synthesis allows one to tailor design the morphologies and properties by the use of monomers.
