The dielectric constant and loss of tris-sarcosine calcium chloride have been measured in the paraelectric phase. Over more than two orders of magnitude of reduced temperature, the dielectric constant follows accurately the logarithmically corrected mean-field behavior of uniaxial dipolar ferroelectrics. Closer to the transition there is a region possibly dominated by defect-induced losses. © 1984, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
