Precise State Control of AC Gas-Discharge Displays

Erasing and writing techniques which change the state of cells very precisely with wide cell and waveform tolerances are presented. As a consequence of this precision, a display may be designed with wider cell and pulse tolerances and yet require no recovery time between state changes.
