A method for continuous coherence transfer in magnetic resonance is proposed and demonstrated with real-time detection of a double-quantum NMR coherence. The technique, which has implications for a broad range of magnetic resonance experiments, is related to effects observed in the study of coherent optical transients. © 1987 The American Physical Society.
