The superconducting transition temperature of the Bi-2222 compounds (RE=rare earth) has been measured for various RE elements and various Ce concentrations. An strong dependence of Tc on the ionic radius has been clearly observed, except for RE=Pr and Tb, where superconductivity was absence.
