Towards A Framework for Handling Musical Expression

It is hard to imbue computer music with expressive gestures. We are proposing a framework specifically to support that need. This framework is based on three components: a content representation called Nuance, a framework for rendering expressive elements called LeNNY, and various user interfaces for specifying and manipulating expressive gestures.
