Has extensive experience in the area of Data Warehousing, specifically in terms of creating Data Models and Vocabularies to support Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and broader Business Intelligence infrastructures.
Is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, and takes an active role in numerous cross-IBM initiatives mainly around the role of Data and how it can be used to better enhance the broader technological ecosystem of an organization.
Is currently the IBM Senior Technical Staff Member (STSM) with responsibility for defining the technical evolution of the IBM Industry Models portfolio of products, specifically in terms of how these models integrate with IBM and 3rd party technology in the Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Governance areas. In recent years this work has focused on defining the role of IBM Industry Models in supporting the growing Big Data set of technologies and Data Lake environments, as well as evolving these models to play a more active role in defining the overall business semantic layer within IBM clients.
Has extensive experience of working with IBM customers in the Financial Services area and in other industries, especially in terms of building customer development partnerships to evolve the IBM Industry Models.
Has been a leader in the development of the IBM Industry Models for many years, starting with leading the design and development of the IBM Banking Data Warehouse, which has since been utilized by 100's of Financial Services organizations across the globe to underpin the Data Warehouse activities.
