Christopher O Lada           

Christopher Lada is a senior mechanical engineer supporting research projects within the Magnetoelectronics and Spintronics group at IBM Research – Almaden. Prior to joining IBM in 2003, he held a variety of positions in companies in the semiconductor capital equipment industry. His roles included design engineer, project manager and product development manager. He has been involved in the development of a wide range of products including Plasma Etch and CVD systems, Equipment Automation systems and Semiconductor Test Equipment. He holds a BSME and MSME from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

His current interests and skills are in the areas of thin film deposition system design, machine design, optomechanical systems, test fixture design, 3D CAD design using SolidWorks and FEA using SolidWorks Simulation for the analysis of mechanical stress and deflections, and heat transfer.
