Gong Su           

Gong Su is a Research Staff Member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown, New York. He conducts system related research on IBM's zSeries mainframe platform. He received BS degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of  China in 1988, and MS and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science, both from Columbia University, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. Before joining IBM Research in 2004, he worked part-time as Chief Software Engineer in Activium/NeXtorage Inc., a startup building self-configuring, self-managing, and secure enterprise storage networks. He also worked as a consultant in Lucent Technologies, conducting research in overlay networks and QoS in VPNs. Dr. Su is interested in various aspects of systems research with a particular focus on operating system and networking.
