Michael joined IBM in August 2014 and is currently a research staff member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. His current research focus is on cloud platform and security services. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. Michael's general research interests include distributed and reliable systems, operating system, virtualization, and fault tolerance.
