Professional Associations: Materials Research Society (MRS)profile
I received my B.S. in Chemistry from San Jose State University in 1998. Prior to graduation I joined the IBM Almaden Research Center under a joint San Jose State/IBM undergraduate research program working on a project dealing with low molecular weight, chain-extendable oligomers for high performance electronic packaging applications. Upon graduation, I joined the Advanced Organic Materials group at the Almaden lab as a development product engineer. Now as an Advisory Engineer/Scientist in the Hybrid Polymeric Materials group, I am actively involved in developing ultra low-k dielectric insulators for BEOL applications, porous organosilicates for optical and photonic applications as well as materials for nanomedicine. I also manage the thermal analysis and polymer characterization labs for the Science and Technology function at the Almaden Research Center.
