Dimitrios is a Research Engineer in the Accelerated Discovery for Scientific Discovery group at IBM Research Europe - Zürich. He received his Doctoral degree from the Queen's University Belfast in 2023 with his thesis entitled “Accelerating Scientific Discovery Using Domain Adaptive Language Modelling”. Also, he holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of University of Patras, Greece. He joined IBM Research Europe - Zürich for the first time in 2018. His experience lies in the broad AI domain focusing on Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graphs and a current strong interest on AI-driven autonomous labs and multimodal generative models.
