Bio

I am a PhD student in the Atom and Molecule Manipulation group at IBM Research Europe - Zurich since November 2021. My main work lies in molecular structure elucidation using atomic force microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy, as well as tip-induced chemistry on thin insulating surfaces.

I received my Master's degree in Physics from the Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany in 2021. During that time I have worked on the simulation of an ion optics system, as well as the development and testing of an ultra low-energy ion implantation chamber, the "Apparatus for Surface Physics and Interfaces at CERN". Before the Master's, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Göttingen in 2019 on a novel graphene synthesis approach using ultra-low ion implantation to create doped graphene and characterization thereof with Auger, LEED and contact-mode AFM.
