Structural properties in amorphous (Fe, Co, Ni)x(polyvalent-element)1−x-alloys appear to be influenced by conduction electrons in the medium-range order regime much in the same way as earlier reported for non-magnetic alloys. Beside the screening properties of the conduction electrons the electron-mediated indirect magnetic interaction between local moments has been taken into account. Magnetic properties of these alloys as well as their thermal stability and glass-forming ability are discussed. © by R. Oldenbourg Verlag
