Christa Zoufal

Dr. Christa Zoufal is a quantum applications researcher in the Quantum Technology group of the Science & Technology department at IBM Research-Europe.

She received her Ph.D. from ETH Zurich in 2021 for her thesis on Generative Quantum Machine Learning. Her current research focuses on the exploration of the potential and limitations of quantum algorithms in the context of machine learning, optimization, and simulation problems. Furthermore, she is a member of the advisory board of the Unitary Fund which runs a microgrant program to fund promising and exciting quantum computing projects.
